The editors of Asatru Serbia have as a goal to inform the visitors of this website of the basic principles and terms of the old Nordic religion as well as to represent to the public the neo-pagan movement known under the name of Asatru (Forn Sidr).

The Asatru movement was started in the 1970's, and Sveinbjorn Beinteinsson is regarded as its founder. The name Asatru translates as a "faith of the Gods", meaning that the members of this movement revere the Deities belonging to Nordic pantheons of Asir and Vanir (you can find more about this in the text "Asatru-beliefs and specific traits').
